• Account information: name, email address, company name, password (hashed)
• Uploaded price data: supplier price sheets, grade information, and related pricing records you upload to the platform
• Usage analytics: pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns to improve the platform experience
• Waitlist data: email address, name, and company when you sign up for the waitlist

• Provide and operate the chempriq platform
• Process and normalize uploaded price data for your organization
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, price alerts, waitlist updates)
• Improve platform features and user experience
• Ensure platform security and prevent abuse

We process your data based on: (a) contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), (b) legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for platform improvement, and (c) your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where applicable.

All data is stored on servers located within the European Union. We employ industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Your uploaded price data is strictly isolated to your organization. chempriq never shares pricing data between organizations.

We use the following third-party processors:

• Resend — Email delivery service (transactional and waitlist emails)
• Analytics providers — Anonymized usage data for platform improvement

All processors are contractually bound to GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

chempriq uses only essential cookies required for the platform to function (authentication session, user preferences). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification — Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data
• Data portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Object — Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Restrict processing — Request limitation of processing
• Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent

Account data is retained for the duration of your account. Upon deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytical purposes.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. For North Rhine-Westphalia: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW).

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or platform notification.
